先日キューバに行ってきました。
アメリカとの国交回復が近いので、その前に
行けてよかったと思います。
前回の個展以降1年半の間に描き貯めた作品の中から、
チェコ、イタリア、キューバでのスケッチを中心に

I visited Cuba the other day.
I am glad I could see Cuba before the restoration process of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States of America.
Among the pieces I have been drawing after my exhibition a year and half ago,
I will exhibit about 30 selected pieces of water paintings, mainly sketches I drew in the Czech Republic, Italy and Cuba.

Yuko Nagayama who is popular for her pellucid and sensitive water color painting, will hold an exhibition in Yokoyama Takashimaya for the second time in two years.
Adding collage pieces of human figures to her reputed water color painting of flowers, still objects and sceneries, it will exhibit 150 new pieces from small to large scale works.

A fashionable glazed spacious place facing the the square of Roppongi Hills…
I feel so out of place. It is more than I deserve, and I am getting a little nervous.
I will exhibit both pieces which I am presently painting and the ones that I want to be shown again in its open atmosphere.
It is as if the paintings are waiting for their turn excitedly regardless of my feelings.
Since it makes me feel easy, I want to be painting flowers or else at the location.
I am very looking forward to seeing you there and I hope you enjoy the occasion!

Watercolor Exhibition just held from June 25th to July 6th went through successfully.

Thank you for all the people who came to the exhibition. The encouragement and comments I received then gave me the power for the continuing production. I cannot thank you enough.

Gratefully, I am enabled to have another exhibition from Aug. 8th to 24th.

Through my website and facebook, we will be letting you know the dates of demonstration (live painting).

The first live painting is scheduled on Aug. 8^th starting noon.

Though it is summer and very hot, if you are nearby Ginza, please come by.

笠井一男 水彩画展 -from Venice to New York – は、お陰様で盛況のうちに終えることができました。

皆さんの支えがあってのことと心から感謝しています。

見よう見まねで水彩画を描き始めて10年。

最近、やっと水と絵の具で”遊ぶ”楽しさが分かってきた気がします。

奇しくも、日本の水彩画の流れが世界の水彩画の方向性とシンクロしてきていることを実感しています。

そして、それは、様々に幅を広げながらさらに加速していくに違いありません。

日本の水彩も、世界の水彩も、そして私自身の水彩も変わっていく最中。

だから今、水彩画は活気があって面白い！

The watercolor exhibition “from Venice to New York”, was held successfully.

I am very thankful and appreciate all your support.

I started to waterpaint about 10 years ago just by learning from others.

At last I feel to realize the real joy and pleasure of playing with water and colors.

I also feel that there is synchronization between watercolor painting in Japan and the one in the world. It will only accelerate by expanding the boundaries and coming together in many respects.

Watercolor painting is evolving in Japan and in the world as well as mine.

I find the watercolor painting now is very exciting!!
